The creation of the Woodland Nature Trail and the installation of the wooden animal sculptures was the work of Jo Walton of The Acorn Consultancy.

Jo applied for and was awarded grants from The Neighbourhood Partnership, Scot-Mid and
Currie and Balerno Round Table

Many thanks to her for this delightful addition to Muir Wood park.

30 September 2013

This is the time of year when all the fruits and berries are appearing and the following photographs show some of the ones that are in Muir Wood Park.

It is also a great year for brambles and if you are a lover of this fruit then get to the park and pick some before they disappear.

NEW WILLOW ARCH SCULPTURE

On Friday 22nd March 2013, Jo Walton and a small team of hardy individuals constructed a willow arch sculpture at the middle entrance to the park. Hopefully this will grow into a living sculpture over the next few months.

Thanks to Jo and the team for their hard and cold work.

We were  recently awarded a grant by Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) to enable us to purchase some hand trowels, forks, spades, gloves and litter pickers.
